JOB OVERVIEW

Facility Coordinator – Technical is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supporting the day to day technical operations of the facility. This role bridges administrative oversight with hands on technical support, ensuring that building systems, maintenance activities, and service requests are managed efficiently and in compliance with safety and operational standards.This role requires occasional emergency callouts that may occur outside of normal work hours.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will include a variety of tasks including the following:

• Coordinate and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance activities for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.

• Track work orders, assign tasks to technicians, and ensure timely completion.

• Monitor contractor performance and verify that work meets scope, quality, and safety requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment history.

• Supervise technicians

• Coordinate contractors in providing contracted services. 

• Provide first‑level troubleshooting for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.

• Provide information to the client; investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints. 

• Conduct PPM Planned Preventative maintenance activities to essential site specialized systems. 

• Coordinate maintenance, service and repair of all building systems and equipment 

• Respond to site emergency breakdowns as and when required. Assist maintenance & project teams with technical expertise & backup when required. 

• Perform Troubleshooting of building systems

• Maintain updated and accurate maintenance records in CMMS

• Provide timely updates on work order status, project timelines, and facility issues.

• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Health and Safety Act.

• Conduct checks/inspections as required.

• Perform related duties as required. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• EEET or NETD or other relevant qualification

• Minimum five (5) years' experience related field

• Minimum three (3 years’ Supervisory experience

 

The following will be an asset:

• Wireman’s Licenses

• Fire Alarm and Detection Systems.

• Electrical Installation.

• Refrigeration and Air Condition Engineering Technician (NEC or City and Guilds)

• Commercial HVAC Systems.

• Valid driver’s license

• Experience working in commercial setting.
