We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced HSE professional. The incumbent must possess the capability to perform within a fast-paced and diverse environment with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Company’s HSE Management System in compliance with the requirements of the T&T OSH Act, STOW Certification, EM Act 2000, and all other relevant statutory requirements.
2. Develop and maintain a tracking mechanism for all HSE audit items, HSE performance indicators and statutory compliance issues.
3. Evaluate and interpret safety statistical data related to occupational injuries/ illnesses, accidents/ incidents, environmental issues, evaluate their trends and identify causes, formulate and implement appropriate permanent preventive and control measures through all levels of Management and Supervision.
4. Manage the inspection and audits of the Company's operations, buildings and related facilities and equipment to ensure conformity to Company policies, procedures and safe operating practices, in line with regulatory obligations.
5. Manage the Company’s STOW Recertification process with minimum supervision.
6. Provide weekly and monthly updates on the Company’s HSE performance by means of presentations and reporting to the office of the CEO and Country Manager.
7. Manage the Company’s Document Control System and provide amendments to HSEQ related documentation in conformance with applicable legislative requirements.
1. Conduct Management Review Meetings, to provide feedback on the Company’s HSE performance in conformance with established KPIs.
2. Provide training to employees on health and safety procedures, emergency response, and hazard identification.
Requirements:
§ BSc. Occupational Health and Safety/ Environmental, Health & Safety /or equivalent.
§ Certification in Risk Assessment, Hazard identification and Root Cause Analysis
§ Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a STOW Certified environment as a Health, Safety & Environment professional.
§ Thorough knowledge and understanding of the working principles of the STOW Certification – High Risk Level.
§ Excellent command of the English Language - oral and written communication.
§ Capability to consistently execute quality work with a high level of autonomy, as well as be able to perform in a Team-oriented environment.
§ Must be flexible to work long hours and weekends, when required.
