About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our Information Technology team. The successful candidate will provide first-line technical support across our operations, ensuring that computers, terminals, printers, peripherals and local network services remain reliable and available to support day-to-day business activities.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting, resolving issues and providing responsive support to users in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line IT support for computers, terminals, printers, peripherals and network connectivity.
  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to the appropriate IT team or service provider.
  • Perform hardware repairs and coordinate equipment replacements when required.
  • Support business applications and escalate unresolved application issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Liaise with approved vendors and service providers to assist with technical fault resolution.
  • Maintain accurate IT records, equipment registers, support tickets and shift/site reports.
  • Document troubleshooting activities, repairs, procedures and equipment changes.
  • Follow established IT, security and data protection procedures.
  • Identify and immediately report suspected cybersecurity or security-related incidents.
  • Provide professional and responsive support to employees and operational teams.
  • Participate in rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in IT support, technical support or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, computer hardware, printers and business applications.
  • Basic understanding of LAN/network connectivity and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose technical problems and resolve or escalate them appropriately.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work rostered shifts and participate in an on-call rotation, where required.
  • Eligible to work in Trinidad & Tobago.

Additional Experience Considered an Asset

  • CompTIA A+, Network+ or similar certification.
  • Experience with helpdesk/ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of Linux or other open-source technologies.
  • Experience supporting specialised business, hospitality, gaming or other operational systems.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
