Position Overview

ABC Home Center is seeking a vigilant and responsible Loss Prevention Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our customers, employees, and company assets. The successful candidate will play a key role in preventing theft, monitoring surveillance systems, conducting routine patrols, and responding to security incidents. This position requires strong observation skills, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and proactive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce loss prevention and asset protection strategies to reduce theft, shrinkage, and financial loss within the store environment.

• Monitor surveillance systems and security equipment to identify suspicious activity and ensure the safety of customers, employees, and company assets.

• Conduct regular patrols of store premises, including sales floors, storage areas, and external perimeters, to maintain a secure environment.

• Respond promptly to security incidents, suspicious activities, or safety concerns and take appropriate action in accordance with company policies.

• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain detailed documentation of security observations, investigations, and occurrences.

• Support investigations related to theft, safety breaches, or operational irregularities when required.

• Provide visible security presence while delivering professional and courteous assistance to customers and employees.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to safety, security, fire prevention, and accident reporting.

• Work collaboratively with store management and operational teams to identify risks and strengthen loss prevention practices.

• Promote a safe and secure shopping and working environment through vigilance, proactive monitoring, and adherence to security protocols.
