Summary
A confidential energy services client is building a candidate pool for upcoming contingent labour and manpower opportunities across Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, and partially Suriname. Successful applicants may be considered for project-based, rotational, contract, temporary, or contingent assignments based on experience, availability, and client requirements.
The Mudlogger will monitor drilling activity, collect and analyze geological samples, track drilling parameters, and provide timely information to support safe and efficient drilling decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect, wash, describe, and record drill cuttings and geological samples.
• Monitor drilling parameters, gas readings, mud flow, and lithology indicators.
• Maintain accurate mud logs and operational records.
• Communicate relevant observations to geologists, engineers, and drilling teams.
• Support early identification of drilling hazards, shows, or operational changes.
• Prepare reports and maintain sample records.
Requirements
• Degree, diploma, or technical training in Geology, Earth Sciences, Petroleum, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Previous mudlogging, sample catching, drilling, geology, lab, or oilfield experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to work offshore, onshore, shifts, and rotational schedules.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Relevant experience and certifications must be clearly stated on the CV or uploaded with the application where available.
Preferred
• Experience with mudlogging software, gas detection systems, geological descriptions, and drilling operations.
