High Level Description: Network Engineer – Routing, Switching, Wireless Installations, VoIP Installations, Firewall Installations, Network Design and Consultancy.
Position Summary: The Network Engineer is a key member of the Engineering Team, which is managed daily by the Network Engineer Team Lead and ultimately led by the Director of Engineering and New Business. This role focuses on Level 2 and 3 support and operational engineering tasks that ensure the reliability and security of customer networks. The Engineering Team is responsible for the delivery of solutions that continue to create a competitive edge for the company. The Network Engineer is more than a resource; this role epitomizes what the company sees as a true, well rounded and qualified consultant.
This position will be fully technical and will also be required to work on any of the four critical parts of the opportunity cycle:customer engagement, solution design, implementation, and support.
The Network Engineer will also play a key role in supporting the company, specifically handling Level 2 and 3 support. This includes resolving complex technical issues escalated from Level 1, performing advanced diagnostics, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Beyond support duties, the Network Engineer must be capable of engaging directly with customers to gather and understand their business requirements. This involves translating those needs into a well-structured solution design, presenting the proposed solution to the customer, and—once approved— working with the implementation team to successfully deliver the solution.
To ensure consistent and professional delivery of the duties, the Network Engineer will be subject to a stringent training programme which will form part of the performance objectives for the position.
The result will be a well-rounded individual with both business and technical expertise, capable of adding value to the business.
The key duties of the position are as follows;
Client Engagement & Requirements Gathering - Engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements. This may involve in-person meetings, virtual sessions, presentations, or written communication. Accurately document requirements to inform solution design.
• Solution Design & Documentation - Design robust and scalable network communication solutions tailored to customer needs. Prepare detailed solution design documents, technical proposals, and bill of materials (BoMs) in alignment with our standards.
• Solution Presentation & Pre-Sales Support - Present proposed solutions to clients and stakeholders using various formats including slide decks, live demos, webinars, and technical walkthroughs. Support the sales team with technical expertise during the pre-sales process.
• Solution Implementation & Deployment - Lead or participate in the deployment of network solutions at customer sites or remotely. This includes configuration, testing, and validation of firewalls, switches, routers, wireless systems, and other network components.
• Post-Implementation Support & Troubleshooting - Provide ongoing support for deployed solutions, including incident response, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Support may be delivered both remotely and on-site, depending on customer needs.
• Training & Knowledge Transfer - Deliver technical knowledge transfer sessions to customers and internal teams as needed, ensuring smooth handover and operational readiness.
• Continuous Learning & Certification - Actively participate in ongoing training and certification programmes to maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies. The company will provide access to training platforms and structured development plans.

• Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all projects, including network diagrams, configuration files, and support logs. Provide timely reports on project status, issues, and resolutions.
• Innovation & Solution Development - Contribute to the development of new service offerings and reusable solution templates that enhance the companys' value proposition in the Caribbean market.

Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in networking or a related IT field.
Certifications. One or more of the following (or equivalent);
o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
o Juniper Networks Certified Associate – Junos (JNCIA-Junos)
o Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA)
o Other relevant networking certifications
Other Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
