JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a Project Manager who will have responsibility for the overall planning, direction, coordination, execution, control, and completion of specific commercial construction and interior retrofit projects in the Facility Management environment.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will include a variety of tasks including the following:

1. Leads the planning of projects to be implemented by the Company by defining the project scope, budget, goals and deliverables.

2. Oversees the preparation of internal estimates and the implementation of projects in accordance with the approved Project Budget, through utilization of value engineering and appropriate project cost accounting principles.

3. Defines the project tasks to be undertaken, identifies and coordinates the specific resource requirements, providing direction and support to the Project Team.

4. Manages and oversees the preparation of design studies, plans, construction drawings, sketches, renderings, specifications, cost estimates and documents, permits, and bid processes.

5. Oversees the scheduling and planning of project timelines, tracking project deliverables using appropriate project monitoring tools.

6. Monitors project implementation for quality assurance and project standards.

7. Ensures the delivery of projects in accordance with identified quality standards.

8. Ensures that the highest HSE and standards are maintained on all project sites.

9. Minimizes the Company’s exposure and risk in project implementation.

10. Presents reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.

11. Prepare and submits reports as required

 

12. Performs any other duties as required by the job function.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • BSc Civil Engineering or Construction Management and five (5) years’ experience in construction management on commercial facilities.
  • Experience in the Facility Management Environment will be considered an asset
  • PMP or CAPM Certification will be considered an asset.
  • Any other suitable combination of qualifications and experience may be considered.


    Ability:
  • Read and understand construction drawings, diagrams, plans and specifications.
