Job Purpose 

In this dynamic role you will develop and implement strategic sales plans across various markets and channels, manage and optimize sales and customer service operations, and ensure continuous improvement in sales processes and team performance, ultimately driving the company's growth and exceeding sales targets. 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

Strategic Sales Plan Development:  

Develop and implement strategic sales plans for all products and related support services in core markets such as Oil, Gas & Petrochemical, Utilities, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Fleet and Contractor segments, retail distribution and reseller channels. 

Sales Management:  

Manage and develop all sales and service channels including retail stores, Customer Service Representatives, and Sales Representatives. 

Oversee the development and management of CASL store/retail outlets in Trinidad & Tobago. 

Oversee sales of each product line/group, ensuring resources are aligned to exceed suppliers' sales targets. 

Provide sales data, market trends, forecasts, accounts analyses, and new product information to support sales staff and relay customer service requests. 

Meet or exceed CASL’s sales targets and financial ratios. 

Customer Relationship Management:  

Build and develop long-lasting customer relationships, identifying emerging market shifts and being aware of new products.  

Continuously improve sales processes, systems, structure, and competencies to enhance customer experience. 

Manage all customer complaints, ensuring resolution and correspondence within required timeframes.  

Manage CASL’s CRM in Hubspot, ensuring information is updated regularly and opportunities are converted to sales. 

 

Marketing Support:  

Provide support to the marketing team on campaigns for new and existing products and improve quotation and sales templates.  

Continuously review pricing strategies with the marketing team.  

Maintain brand identity through appropriate messaging and client communication.  

Support the marketing team with relevant social media and website content across various platforms. 

People & Team Leadership:  

Develop and manage the sales and customer service structure and teams for specific markets, product lines, and retail stores.  

Review people resources, develop competencies in team members, and ensure a high level of customer service and experience focus on customer centricity. 

Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring they are engaged, proficient and competent. 

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities. 

Schedule staff and manage workloads to ensure efficient operation of the sales team 

Conduct department meetings and track any follow up actions. 

Authorise leave forms and commissions. 

Contract Development:  

 Develop and negotiate supply contracts and manage commercial bids and quotes with timely, relevant product support information, payment review, and after service support. 

Support inventory control and reordering, suggesting minimum/maximum levels and reordering quantities based on project and demand analysis. 

KPI Reporting:  

Report monthly on established key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide sales projections on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis to the managing director. 

Develop and manage sales commission structures. 

Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement:  

Work with HSEQ to maintain ISO and STOW certifications and accreditations.  

Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) programs with Agile CI methodologies. 

Conduct daily toolbox meetings and provide updates to the Managing Director. 

Additional Duties: Assist in the development of Suriname and Guyana Territories. Perform other related duties as required by the company. 

Qualification & Experience required. 

● Degree in Management/ Sales Management  

● A BSc in Engineering or an MBA will be an asset. 

● Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a similar capacity. 

● Proficient in Microsoft suite applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
