Senior Marketing Officer

Department: Sales & Marketing Department

Reports To: Sales & Marketing Manager

Job Summary

The Senior Marketing Officer is responsible for the coordinated execution of approved marketing strategies across digital, traditional, and physical branding channels. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager to support dealership penetration, strengthen individual brand development, and monitor return on marketing investment (ROI) by brand.

This is a senior operational role that provides structure, oversight, and consistency across marketing activity. While strategic direction is set by senior leadership, the Senior Marketing Officer ensures that strategies are implemented effectively, on time, on budget, and in line with manufacturer and dealership standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy Execution & Brand Stewardship

• Execute approved marketing strategies across all dealership brands.

• Maintain clear and consistent brand positioning for each brand across digital, traditional, and physical touchpoints.

• Act as a brand steward, ensuring manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards are upheld at all times.

• Provide execution feedback and performance insights to the Sales & Marketing Manager.

Traditional Media, Signage & Physical Branding

• Coordinate traditional media activity including print, radio, outdoor, and dealership advertising.

• Manage the rollout and maintenance of dealership signage and branding, including:

  • Showrooms and forecourts.
  • Service centres.
  • Temporary promotional and campaign signage.

• Liaise with agency/media houses, printers, fabricators, and suppliers to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.

• Track costs, placements, and effectiveness of traditional media and signage activity by brand.

Digital Marketing & Content Oversight

• Oversee digital content execution.

• Ensure digital campaigns align with broader brand and traditional media activity.

• Coordinate internal and external creative resources to deliver consistent, on-brand content.

• Monitor digital output for quality, consistency, and brand compliance.

Performance Tracking & ROI Reporting

• Track marketing spend and campaign performance across digital, traditional, and physical branding initiatives.

• Monitor ROI and effectiveness by individual brand.

• Prepare performance summaries, insights, and recommendations for review with senior management.

• Support manufacturer KPI and reporting requirements.

Events & Brand Activations

• Support vehicle launches, dealership events, promotions, and brand activations.

• Coordinate required marketing assets including signage, digital support, and post-event content.

• Ensure events align with approved brand positioning and marketing objectives.

• Assist with post-event evaluations and reporting.

Multi-Brand & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate marketing activity across multiple automotive brands, ensuring correct differentiation and focus.

• Work closely with Sales, Aftersales, Online Sales, and Customer Experience teams to support commercial objectives.

• Act as a central coordination point to ensure marketing initiatives are executed smoothly across departments.

Operational Leadership & Administration

• Provide senior-level oversight of marketing workflows and timelines.

• Support task allocation, prioritization, and quality control within the marketing team.

• Maintain campaign trackers, budgets, and supplier records.

• Act as a first point of escalation for operational marketing issues before they are raised to senior management.

• Support onboarding, guidance, and skills development of junior marketing staff.

• Act on behalf of the Sales & Marketing Manager when required to ensure continuity of execution.

Qualifications / Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Media, or related field.

• 3–6 years' experience in marketing with strong exposure to digital marketing, content creation, and brand strategy/development.

• Experience in automotive, retail, or multi-brand environments is an asset.

• 3+ years of supervisory experience or team leadership.

Skills & Experience

• Strong digital content creation and campaign management skills.

• Understanding of social media platforms, digital advertising tools, and analytics.

• Working knowledge of traditional advertising and event coordination.

• Ability to manage multiple brands, projects, and stakeholders simultaneously.

• Leadership, organization, and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong creative judgement and commercial awareness.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS), e.g. WordPress.

• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure preferred.
