JOB PURPOSE:

• Lead the recruitment team to meet individual and collectively the annual group target

• Management of a recruitment team– train, develop and support the team of recruiters and ensure that they meet or/exceed KPI’s

• Manage own monthly and annual target, sourcing and qualifying candidates for various level searches across all industries

• Lead and manage the recruitment team’s canvassing strategy together with Leadership team

• Contribute towards overall efficiency of recruitment model

 

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source & Qualify Candidates:

• Use various tools (Linked In, and other social media, Talentis, organization members etc) to research, source & headhunt candidates for various searches

• Qualify and submit sourced candidates to clients and work with both client and candidate towards closing on search successfully

• Follow up with necessary administration to complete on placements – reference checks, invoicing, registering as a vendor for new clients, etc.

• Works with Leadership team to develop and executing a canvassing and marketing strategy to build and grow a pipeline of business across all sectors and industries – public and private sector, contract and permanent positions

• Identify ways to make the recruitment model more efficient and share with the team eg through best practices in search techniques, relationship building with clients/candidates, networking techniques etc

• Lead and motivate the team to meet and/or exceed performance expectations.

• Motivate and manage recruiters to hit canvassing goals on a weekly basis.

• Address and resolve issues that arise within the team or workflow promptly and effectively. Ensure clear and effective communication within the team and across departments.

• Monitor the team’s performance against KPIs including canvassing and provide constructive feedback and coaching and support to address shortfalls in a timely manner 

• Any other duties as required.

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Sound understanding of and proven track record in delivering on the recruitment lifecycle. Solid background in interviewing techniques

• Sourcing, networking, and qualifying candidates – mapping out a market for specific, hard to find skillsets

• Sourcing and qualifying jobs at permanent and contract level

• Client Management

• Strong interpersonal skills (Sound ability in managing difficult conversations)

• Coaching/Training skills/Managing Performance

• Supervisory/Leadership skills

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field

• At least 5 years of recruitment experience at various levels across all industries, comprehensive knowledge of the full recruitment cycle

• Proven track record in successfully leading and supporting a small team of recruiters to close any gaps would be an asset

• Proven track record in business development - successfully canvassing companies in various industries to win recruitment business for the team would be an asset
