Job Summary: 


The position of Talent Acquisition Lead is a key role within the HR Department structure, responsible for leading the full-cycle recruitment and selection function across the organisation. The role spans a range of talent acquisition activities, including workforce and manpower planning, sourcing, employer branding, candidate assessment and selection, offer management and onboarding, as well as related company-based activities/functions. The incumbent is required to design, plan and implement innovative sourcing strategies, selection processes, talent pipelines and recruitment metrics to attract and secure high-quality talent across multiple locations. The Lead is expected to work across all SMJ sites but will be primarily based at our head office in Otaheite.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Manage the full recruitment and onboarding cycle, from workforce requisition through to successful placement and onboarding.
  2. Partner with hiring managers and leadership to develop workforce plans, forecast talent needs, manage vacancies and monitor recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill.
  3. Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline and candidate database for current and future recruitment needs.
  4. Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, professional networks and other recruitment channels.
  5. Lead employer branding and candidate attraction initiatives, ensuring consistent and professional candidate experience.
  6. Conduct effective screening, interviewing and candidate assessments, using appropriate selection tools and structured evaluation processes.
  7. Develop and implement recruitment policies, procedures and programmes that support fair, compliant and effective selection, internal mobility and succession planning.
  8. Enhance candidate engagement and onboarding, ensuring a smooth, welcoming and well-structured new-hire experience.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment, applicant tracking and onboarding records and prepare recruitment and HR reports for management.
  10. Develop and maintain HR SOPs and support training for internal stakeholders on relevant HR processes and systems.
  11. Provide timely HR Helpdesk and administrative support across employee relations, engagement, learning and development, performance management, talent management, rewards and benefits.
  12. Prepare and coordinate HR communications, including announcements, memoranda, policies, procedures, training materials and employee talent profiles.
  13. Support HR projects, initiatives, training programmes and employee events in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  14. Promote compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  15. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



Qualifications and Experience:

 

  1. BSc. in Human Resource and/or Business Management.
  2. 5-7 years HR experience, with previous experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, as well as in the implementation and use of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  3. Microsoft Office Proficient (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  4. Experience with HRP5 or any related HRIS / ATS platform.
  5. Basic knowledge of labour legislation
  6. Experience using professional social networks for sourcing (e.g. LinkedIn)
  7. Certification in Recruitment or Talent Acquisition (an asset).



Technical and Behavioural Competencies:

 

  1. Strong expertise in recruitment and selection, including sourcing, interviewing, assessment and candidate evaluation techniques.
  2. Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruitment technology, job boards and integrated HR systems.
  3. Strong capability in workforce planning, recruitment analytics and reporting, with the ability to use data to support talent acquisition decisions.
  4. Experience in designing and implementing recruitment and selection processes and talent assessment tools.
  5. Advanced Microsoft Office and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and networks at all levels.
  7. Strong leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills, with sound judgment and discretion.
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Demonstrated customer service orientation, with the ability to resolve issues independently and escalate appropriately.
