The position of Talent Development Lead is a key role within the HR Department structure, responsible for developing, mobilising and deploying talent across the Group. The role spans a range of human resource functions, including talent development, learning and development, performance management, succession planning, capability and leadership development, and the strategic deployment and placement of talent to meet business needs, as well as employee engagement initiatives. The incumbent is required to design, plan and implement innovative learning and development, performance management, succession planning, capability gap assessments and talent deployment strategies for our talent across multiple locations. 

What will you do?

• Talent Development, Deployment and Succession Planning: Manages the employee lifecycle from post-probation to retirement, developing and deploying talent to fuel growth, boost productivity and inspire team members to actively contribute to the organisation’s long-term business success.

• Design and implement the full Employee Engagement cycle: from survey/baseline and communication of results to action planning, execution tracking, reporting systems, and strategic integration into leadership conversations. Work with VPHR to deploy Engagement Survey for all countries. 

• Manage a comprehensive talent development and deployment programme, keeping future leadership and business needs in focus, so there is a pipeline of qualified, high-performance candidates ready to be mobilized and deployed to the right roles at the right time.

• Performance Management: Execute the full range of performance management functions including supporting the development of metrics to track employee performance, ensuring appraisals are completed by each department within specific timeframes and making recommendations regarding development plans to improve employee performance. 

• Learning and Development: Design, develop and implement programs, policies and strategies tailored to support human resource development including high potential development and succession planning. 

• HRIS LMS: Maintains all relevant profile relating to Employee Talent Profiles, Training and Performance Management and training registers. 

Essential technical / specialist competencies

• Performance Management Systems – knowledge of appraisal methods to evaluate employee performance effectively.

• Data Analysis and Reporting – ability to analyze HR metrics, prepare reports to inform talent management decisions.

• Talent Assessment Tools- skills assessments and other evaluation tools. 

Essential behavioural competencies

• Experience in designing and executing training and development programs. 

• Quality focus—the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

Minimum education and experience needed: 

• Master’s in Human Resource and/or Business Management.

• 8 years HR experience, with previous experience in talent development, learning and development and talent management

• Experience with a related HRIS platform.

• Basic knowledge of labour legislation

• Certified Coach or trainer/facilitator an asset
