Rahamut Group is seeking a driven, customer-focused, and results-oriented Technical Sales Representative – Fuel & Lubricants to support the continued growth of its commercial fuel and lubricants business.
This role combines business development, B2B sales, account management, and technical consulting, making it ideal for a professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering value-added solutions to customers across the transportation, industrial, manufacturing, construction, marine, energy, and commercial sectors.
Job Purpose
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth through the development and management of customer accounts, proactive business development, lead generation, and the delivery of technical fuel and lubrication solutions.
The successful candidate will establish long-term relationships with clients, identify opportunities for increased product utilization, provide technical guidance, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across the transportation, industrial, manufacturing, marine, construction, energy, and commercial sectors.
• Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, market intelligence, cold calling, and customer visits.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to support consistent revenue growth.
• Promote and sell fuels, lubricants, greases, and related solutions to both new and existing customers.
• Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Prepare and present professional quotations, proposals, tenders, and customer presentations.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities effectively.
Accounts & Relationship Management
• Build, develop, and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers.
• Manage customer accounts to maximize retention, satisfaction, and growth opportunities.
• Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
• Proactively resolve customer concerns while ensuring high levels of service excellence.
• Coordinate with operations, logistics, finance, and management teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
Technical Sales Support
• Conduct technical assessments of customer operations and equipment.
• Recommend appropriate fuel and lubricant products based on operational requirements.
• Provide guidance on lubricant selection, storage, handling, application, and performance monitoring.
• Deliver customer product training, demonstrations, and technical presentations.
• Support customers with initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and optimizing operating costs.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, pricing, and industry developments.
• Analyze customer consumption patterns and identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of customer engagement, opportunities, forecasts, and sales activities within the Company's CRM platform.
• Submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and business development updates.
• Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years' experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales and account management.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience within fuels, lubricants, industrial products, automotive, heavy equipment, fleet services, industrial chemical sales, or related sectors will be considered an asset.
• Technical knowledge of diesel engines, lubrication systems, industrial equipment, fleet operations, or maintenance environments is highly desirable.
• Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
• Valid Driver's Permit and willingness to travel throughout Trinidad & Tobago.
