Job Purpose
The Warehouse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all warehouse functions across the manufacturing operation, including the storage and movement of raw materials, packaging, consumables, and finished goods. This role ensures inventory integrity, space optimization, and alignment with production schedules and quality standards. The incumbent also governs intercompany inventory processes, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives continuous improvement to support operational excellence and organizational goals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control
• Direct all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, issuing, and returns of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Ensure timely and accurate material availability to support uninterrupted production and dispatch operations.
• Implement effective material handling systems and zoning structures to maximize warehouse flow, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Uphold high standards of housekeeping and workplace organization in line with 5S, GMP, and site safety protocols.
Inventory Management & Stock Accuracy
• Lead the design and execution of inventory control systems, including cycle counts, stock audits, reconciliation, and variance investigations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and real-time visibility through robust ERP/WMS transaction discipline, including batch, lot, and shelf-life tracking.
• Oversee intercompany inventory movements, ensuring documentation integrity, stock traceability, and alignment with financial and production controls.
Production Support & Alignment
• Collaborate with Production Planning and Procurement to synchronize material availability with manufacturing schedules and demand forecasts.
• Coordinate the timely staging and issuing of materials in accordance with BOMs, production sequences, and changeover requirements.
• Monitor warehouse lead times and proactively resolve potential material shortages or disruptions to production flow.
Capacity Planning & Warehouse Optimization
• Lead warehouse layout design, racking optimization, and capacity planning projects to support evolving inventory and production needs.
• Evaluate short- and long-term storage requirements based on SKU mix, inventory turnover, and seasonal volume trends.
• Recommend investments in storage infrastructure, material handling equipment (MHE), and technology enhancements to boost warehouse performance.
Systems & Reporting
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all warehouse-related data in ERP/WMS systems through disciplined execution and controls.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports tracking inventory accuracy, stock aging, utilization rates, and throughput.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using warehouse KPIs, root cause analyses, and cross-functional collaboration.
Compliance, HSE & Audit Readiness
• Ensure full compliance with internal policies, statutory regulations, and HSE standards governing warehouse operations.
• Lead root cause investigations of safety, quality, or control incidents, and implement timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Maintain audit readiness through accurate record-keeping, process standardization, and team awareness of compliance expectations.
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing warehouse team across shifts, fostering a culture of accountability and ownership.
• Define and communicate clear KPIs, performance standards, and development goals aligned with operational objectives.
• Promote cross-training, employee engagement, and continuous skill development to build workforce agility and resilience.
Skills & knowledge required

Qualifications & Experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and inventory control processes.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, ISO, or other quality frameworks relevant to manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience in warehouse team development and warehouse layout optimization.
