Responsibility:
● The Procurement Coordinator Assistant supports all Procurement functions associated with Supply Chain Management transactions. This position operates in a fast-paced, high transaction volume, deadline-oriented environment.
● Responsible for, but not limited to, products, tools and equipment sourcing, purchase orders, expediting deliveries (liaising with Shipping Companies, Customs Brokers and Transport Companies), negotiating delivery schedules, and managing a wide range of commodities required to support project sites and Plant Operations requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Conduct process reviews; negotiate pricing and lead-times.
● Analyze Supplier schedules and progress reports to determine if they support delivery dates or any revisions are required and identify problem areas and initiate or recommend corrective actions to the Supplier.
● Coordinate with Team Members to resolve schedule-related problems quickly, economically and effectively.
● Coordinate with Suppliers on a regular basis to expedite deliveries.
● Assist with expediting completion and delivery of materials / equipment, ensuring conformance with Purchase Orders and all other requirements as agreed.
● Provide information and support as required to the QS and Project Management Teams, and other internal customers.
● Support Procurements Performance metrics; maintain best working practices at all times.
● Assist with maintaining an open line of communications with the specific Materials Team on all sites.
● Assist with expediting materials with visibility to all end user groups.
● Continually monitor Suppliers to ensure progress against Purchase Orders are in line with delivery timing agreed.
● Update vendor information in the expediting process.
● Become efficient in the functionality and use of ReQlogic (or similar systems) to enter track and fast track purchase requests.
● Support the Procurement Coordinator in liaising with Shipping Companies, Customs Brokers and Transport Companies.
● Monitor and update the procurement schedule.
● File, copy, scan and retrieval of purchase orders.
● Performs any other duties that may be assigned from the Procurement Coordinator.
