POSITION SUMMARY:
The Customer Service Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience that will drive our culture. To process sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, operate cash registers, generate sales, merchandising and ensure the protection and security of Company assets. To ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures,  and to perform other duties that support the effective and efficient operations of the retail store.

WORKING HOURS:
The position requires shift work including weekends and public holidays. Due to the nature of the job, the Employee may be required to work for other periods and hours as the Company shall determine. The Company shall give the Employee reasonable notice where the Employee is expected to work beyond his/her usual working hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Execute exceptional, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service to all customers by being a point of contact.
  • Execute active listening and observation skills to all customers.
  • Provide assistance and advice about products and services to all customers.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of all sales, discounts, promotions, and advertisements of the Company.
  • Recommend, select and explain use, operation and care of merchandise to customers.
  • Upsell products based on customer interactions and what they require.
  • Communicate customer requests to management when required and ensure customer needs are met.
  • Maintain a consistent flow of customer interactions while maintaining the 8-foot rule.
  • Engage with customers actively on all aisles throughout the shopfloor.
  • Answer customer’s questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
  • Escalate customer queries and complaints to the management team.
  • Communicate customer requests to management and place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
  • Maintain a clean store environment and assist with housekeeping.
  • Monitor stock levels and replenish and merchandise all products.
  • Tag price on merchandise and complete price changes for all products within the store.
  • Set up advertising/promotional displays or arrange merchandise on counters or shelves to promote sales.
  • Answer phone and assist customers with queries.
  • Communicate any activities that are not inline with the company policies, procedures, and values to the management team.
  • Demonstrates the use of, promotes and sells cosmetic products and related beauty products/accessories.
  • Check inventory daily for damages and expiries.
  • Count inventory for audit purposes.
  • Cash items at the point of sale with 100% accuracy in accordance with the company’s’ cash policy.
  • Ensure products are packed and handed to customers at check out.
  • Maintain orderly appearance of the register area.
  • Balance and reconcile cash drawer at end of shift.
  • Provides efficient photo services to customers, including but not limited to:
    • Taking photos for customers as per guidelines, including but not limited to passport photos, etc.
    • Assisting customers when dropping off work and using the picture making machine.
    • Ensuring the production of high-quality prints.
    • Providing customers with tips on photography
    • Calling customers to update them on the status of their prints.
    • Assisting with basic maintenance of all photo machines.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Process customers return with Manager’s approval.
  • To perform other duties that support the effective and efficient operations of the retail store.

 EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Three (3) O’ level passes including Mathematics and English.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • At least 2 years’ previous retail or customer service experience.

SKILLSET REQUIRED
  • Computer Literacy
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
