Description
We are seeking to hire an experienced and competent HSE who would be responsible for the design, implementation, communication and coordination of all environmental, health, and safety programs for the Company. This position will develop and provide technical and administrative direction on all HSE decisions, which bear critical importance to overall company objectives, operations, and profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure there is an effective company policy for health and safety and that all employees, contractors and temporary workers are made aware of their individual responsibility
- Make provision for adequate and appropriate training to be given to all employees.
- Understand the application of the Health and Safety and Work, etc. Trinidad and Tobago OSH Act and other legislation relevant to the Companies Business
- Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Management Team responsible for Health and Safety and any new legislation
- Conduct health and safety inspection and prepare reports of all the company's operation.
- To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.
- Highlight areas where training is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practices, or HSE guidance
- To bring new techniques for improving health, safety and welfare to the attention of the Director responsible for health and safety
- Monitor the effectiveness of Corrective Actions implemented
- Participate in training provided by the Company
- Facilitate Training as the established Training Needs Analysis and Matrix.
- Conduct scheduled HSE Inspections
- Facilitate Emergency Drills at the operational sites
- Facilitate HSE walkthroughs
- Manage the Company’s Critical Activities Register
