Accounts Control Analyst

The Accounts Control Analyst will be responsible for collections of outstanding invoices from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency. The ideal candidate must be detailed oriented with demonstrated ability to manage dynamic accounts. The position will report directly to the Corporate Credit Manager.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for pursuing collection of debt on all assigned accounts.
  • Contacts all delinquent customers by telephone, email, or letters.
  • Prepares timely follow-up with customer accounts for the purpose of payment arrangements, cessation of credit or bill adjustment issues.
  • Resolves customer complaints and establishes and cultivates customer relationships.
  • Communicates results of customer account issues with appropriate internal contacts for resolution.
  • Identifies appropriate methodology for resolution of bill adjustment and customer service-related issues and prepares appropriate referral.
  • Monitors all customers with return check history, both derogatory and non-derogatory and takes appropriate steps with both internal and external to determine check replacement and account disposition.
  • Communicates regularly and works closely with cross-functional teams regarding status of account to determine collectability, credit limit adjustment, account maintenance and bill adjustment issue resolution. • Identifies uncollectible accounts for possible outside legal referral and performs regular contact to determine status of account.
  • Resolve account related issues quickly, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Consistently monitor the AR Aging report to determine potential payment issues and promptly follow up for resolution.
  • Receive inbound and place outbound collection calls.
  • Document all collections activity in a concise and accurate manner.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
  • Pursuing ACCA Level II | Associate degree finance and accounting.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a collection, customer service and bill adjustment environment.

Additional Knowledge and skills
  • The ability to speak and communicate professionally with all levels of management and non-management.
  • Possesses the ability to plan, coordinate and implement complex tasks, manage new or constantly changing problems or situations.
  • Knowledge of MS D365, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Cargo or other related airline experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Bilingual preferred (fluent in English and Spanish).
