Position Purpose:
The Company is strategic within the Integrated Gas business for the Company due to the value it brings from an existing full gas value chain and the future growth opportunities that enable gas delivery to domestic contracts and to the NOV, Atlantic LNG. Spend levels have increased and will be sustained to ensure delivery of the future gas strategy to meet contractual obligations. Realizing these ambitions is seen as critical in the Company's transformation in years to come.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with proven commercial skills including experience in negotiating deals, developing and executing tenders, managing contracts and suppliers, and embedding requirements for Ethics, HSSE&SP, Supplier Diversity and GHG targets. Reporting to the CP Lead Projects, the position will provide support to the Projects team to ensure delivery of key projects.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • [Outcome - HSSE] Influence CP activities to improve HSE performance of third-party contractors, maintaining full alignment with HSE organization to Deliver Goal Zero by application of Contractor HSE management in contracting strategies and contract management processes.
  • [Outcome - Value] Translate commercial and business insights into most competitive and sustainable supply chain solutions that generate value. Co-creating opportunity funnels exploiting 40:40:20 with other value levers. Influencing the Company to deliver unprecedented value through their business supply chains; competitive in the market and operate sustainably with a cost advantage.
  • [Business Interface] This requires a full understanding of the Business purpose, objectives, challenges, and how the Business makes it money (Business Understanding) including meeting project deliverables and production targets.
  • [External Relations] Manage external relationships with key suppliers and understand key supply market opportunities and risks. Drive supplier performance, delivery and continuous improvement throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • [CP Interface] Ensure a strong connect across th Company, E2E IG Business and CP organization, all relevant global Centers of Excellence both in and outside of CP and the wider global CP organization to ensure bi-directional sharing and leverage of best practices.
  • [People] Actively promotes the One CP approach for the Business and supports the broader CP Community.
  • [Process] Steer application of the relevant E2E supply chain process, using commercial judgement, common sense and a simplification mind-set, understanding the difference between non-negotiable compliance elements (Safety, E&C, Code of Conduct, Law) and CP operating practices, while always keeping enterprise business value in focus.


Key Experiences and Qualifications:
  • [Qualification] A degree level (Business/Engineering) and/or proven long term comprehensive experience within CP. MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) Qualification would be preferred but not mandatory.
  • [Behaviors] An ability to build highly effective working relationships and across CP is essential.
  • [Business] Substantial experience across the relevant business Supply Chains locally and internationally, understands demand profiles and can clarify scopes and deliver sourcing projects to meet business needs
  • [Commercial] Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals.
  • [Authenticity] Highly driven, ‘can do’, inspiring, able to articulate in a crisp and precise manner. Is understood and is credible in the Comapny's Projects team and Category teams
  • [Growth] Focused on tangible value outcomes, translates strategy to outcomes. Brings external market/supplier into the conversation (curiosity). Uncompromising on HSSE, ethics & compliance is a ‘must have’.
