Description
MARKETING OFFICER
We are a financial co-operative basd in San Fernano. We seek a qualified and competent person to fill the position of Marketing Officer (on Contract).
Job Summary
The Marketing Officer is responsible for developing, guiding, and executing marketing strategies and programmes to achieve and support the Credit Union’s organizational objectives. This position is required to pro-actively manage and promote the organization’s brand, support membership expansion and portfolio growth. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong marketing acumen, be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess exceptional communication skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the coordination of the organization’s branding and marketing initiatives, including but not limited to planning, organizing and monitoring marketing outreaches, promotions and campaigns.
- Coordinate advertising, public relations and promotional programmes through liaison arrangements with media representatives, advertising firms and event management organizations and employers.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
- Execute brand strategy, message development, pitch and announcement strategies.
- Drive content creation for internal and external communication platforms inclusive but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Ads, Website, WhatsApp, SMS and email.
- Manage daily interactions on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and responding promptly to customer inquiries across all channels.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing initiatives against set objectives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement, ensuring transparency and alignment with the Credit Union’s overall marketing strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
- A first degree in Marketing or Master’s Degree in a related Field.
- A minimum of four (4) years marketing experience in a financial services organization.
- Proven proficiency in Digital Marketing.
- Driver’s license required.
- Must own a working vehicle.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work outside of traditional working hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of media issues, new media marketing theory and practice, communications strategies, and implementation.
- Knowledge of Google Ads and Search Engine Optimization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing software/tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, Active Campaign).
