Requirements
Leadership in Financial Operations:
- Oversee the finance department to ensure the smooth and accurate execution of daily financial activities, including the preparation, review, and approval of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Manage the closing processes at both month-end and year-end, ensuring financial records are complete and error-free.
- Design and enforce internal control systems to protect company assets and uphold the integrity of financial data.
- Compile and deliver detailed financial reports, including comprehensive Management Accounts, to the senior leadership team and Board members.
- Assess critical financial metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improving financial performance and cutting costs.
- Guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Lead the coordination of budgeting and financial planning activities for all business entities, ensuring the timely delivery of precise and relevant financial information to the Board and operational teams.
- Track financial performance relative to budget targets, providing variance analysis and recommending corrective measures when necessary.
- Ensure the timely submission of statutory financial reports for all legal entities and manage the external audit process efficiently.
- Foster a strong operational control framework to protect the organization’s assets and resources.
- Oversee the prompt implementation of all audit recommendations, whether internal or external.
- Develop and maintain robust accounting systems and workflows to streamline financial operations.
- Conduct financial analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improving financial processes, offering actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring adherence to internal control standards.
- Promote a high-performance culture that supports the company’s vision and strategic goals.
- Build a sustainable talent pipeline by encouraging career development for team members.
- Guide, mentor, and motivate the finance team, ensuring continuous professional growth and a culture of excellence.
- Lead the ongoing review and enhancement of financial processes, systems, and business structures to increase operational efficiency and add business value.
- Perform financial modeling and scenario planning to evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives, changes in operations, or investments.
- Continuously strive to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial operations.
Requirements
- ACCA or CIMA qualified
- 7+ years accounting and/or financial management and analysis experience
- Over 3 years' experience in a similar position, with exposure to the strategic and financial management of FMCG organisations
- Experience in preparing Statutory Accounts and Group Consolidation Accounts
- Experience as a team leader
