Position Title:Talent Acquisition Lead

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process. Focused on sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates to meet the staffing needs of the organization. Responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, maintaining relationships with educational institutions and recruitment agencies, and ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process. Proposes ideas that can attract top talent and which contribute to the overall success of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITES
  1. Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for all administrative, technical and professional positions up to and including superintendents.
  2. Prepare recruitment materials and posts jobs to appropriate job boards, other online platforms or traditional media.
  3. Screen candidates’ resumes and create a shortlist of applicants.
  4. Conduct interviews, assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, hard and soft skills, experience and aptitudes, and liaise with Management on recommended next steps.
  5. Conduct reference checks and background checks (where applicable) for selected candidates.
  6. Complete all due diligence requirements before passing to the HR Representative to facilitate the new hire administration process.
  7. Manage the administrative aspects of the recruitment activity including upkeep of network folders, recruitment activity sheet and filing as required.
  8. Provide relief recruitment support for plant-based (fortnightly-paid) positions.
  9. Provide support in the development of employer branding initiatives and lead the execution of approved initiatives.
  10. Assist with the preparation of the monthly Headcount Report.
  11. Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, trainings, and workshops in coordination with the HR team.
  12. Provide administrative and analytical support for ongoing HR projects.
  13. Participate in cross functional local and regional projects as part of the HR & Safety team.
  14. Execute all relevant responsibilities as outlined in the Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities Matrix (MT-GM-004) to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  15. Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
  • A first degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be considered an asset
  • Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish would be considered an asset.

EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of three (3) years in an HR role with a focus on recruitment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment best practices and use of tools including LinkedIn
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Experience with an HRIS and recruitment-specific module would be an asset.
