Work relationships
The Turnaround and Construction Engineer reports to the Turnaround and Projects Manager.
 
Purpose  
The Turnaround Construction Engineer is a member of the MTAP department.
The Turnaround Construction Engineer shall deliver turnaround and project services in collaboration with other maintenance personnel, engineering, and Ops/projects delivery teams to achieve safe, effective and efficient shutdowns. This entails delivery in Operational Excellence in a strong continuous improvement culture in HSSE, asset integrity and cost management. Provide site supervision in the Perform Turnaround space to ensure that all scopes are executed in alignment to company Turnaround Assurance and Support Plan (TASP)
 
Duties and responsibilities 
Responsibilities:

• Lead commissioning and start-up activities.
• Lead a work execution team to be safe and productive.
• Develop construction work packs.
• Develop material listing for all construction scopes.
• Lead all field executions, ensuring all Shutdown deliverables are achieved in accordance with the integrated plan and company Quality Management System.
• Lead Logistics planning for equipment and personnel.
• Implement appropriate construction techniques and drive efficiency to improve delivery.
• Provide frontline tactical response to urgent and emergent unplanned discovery scopes, taking a risk-based approach to prioritize and resolve problems.
• Review work practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Review turnaround procedures and processes with a focus on optimizing safety, schedule, and cost.

  
Special working conditions

•  Office (80%)
• Normal (5/2)
• Onshore/Offshore (20%)

NB. Will be full time on site during Shutdown activities.

Experience requirements:

• More than 7-10 years of relevant field experience

 
Education requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
