Job Title: Auto Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In-House Auto Mechanic with a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and very dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on company vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks, trailers, vacuum tankers, pumps, compressors, other.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair and replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
  • Maintain accurate service records and document repairs performed.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing team for the order and management inventory of necessary parts and tools.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in heavy equipment technology.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 CXC passes; technical school certification or relevant vocational training is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive and heavy equipment repair.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license
