Work relationships
The ROV Vessel Client Representative reports to the Subsea Engineering Team Lead 
 
Purpose
The ROV Vessel Client Representative responsible for the proper and safe execution of the scope of work in accordance with this Safe Work Plan. Serves as the interface with the Platform OIM, Company Engineers, Intervention Vessel Offshore Manager, and Subsea Team Lead while offshore. The PIC will also provide guidance and oversight to personnel directly involved in carrying out the installation activities. The PIC will provide daily progress reporting of installation activities to the project team onshore.
 
Duties and responsibilities
The ROV Vessel Client Representative will be responsible for:
  • Performing the role of Person In Charge on Company’s behalf on the Vessel
  • Ensuring safe and successful operation are conducted on the ROV Vessel
  • Ensuring approved procedures are followed during the execution of the scope of work
  • Act as the Point of Contact between the vessel and all other Company parties (beach and offshore platforms) during execution
  • Lead vessel project kick-off meetings
  • Ensure resources on the vessel are being optimally utilized
  • Create and maintain an environment of inclusion that respects and values individual differences and is aligned with Company’s’s core values.
 Occasional duties
  • Perform reviews and approve minor Management of Change (MOC) during execution.
  • Participate in incident investigation. 
 
Working conditions 
  • Offshore – 14 days (can be extended up to 21 days), 12hr shifts
  • Onshore – as required for kick-off meetings and risk assessments
  • Target Start Date: 5th March 2025
  • Target End Date: 26th March 2025

  • Company Subsea Engineering Team
  • Company HSSE Teams
  • Company Site Personnel: OIM, OTL, Technicians
  • Contractors and Vendors
  • Vessel contractor and vessel personnel

 
Competence & Skills
Work Experience:
  • >2 years experience on vessels as client representatives supporting ROV or diving operations
  • >10 years experience working on ROV Vessels in the capacity of ROV Operator, ROV Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Offshore Manager or equivalent positions.
  • Ability to prepare reports, and communicate changes in the operation to the relvenat Company parties
  • Ability to review technical documents and ensure that the vessel crew complies.
  • All certifications and medical examinations as required for offshore work including BOSIET or TBOSIET training with CAEBS, and UKOOA medical
Educational requirements:
  • Technical certificate/Diploma in Engineering required
  • ROV Pilot/Operator or Diving certification required
  • Engineering Degree preferred
Training requirements:
  • Client Representative Training required
  • Dynamic Positioning Knowledge Training preferred
  • HSSE Leadership training preferred (Major Accident/Incident Management)
