Description

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and battery checks.
• Inspect truck components including brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms.
• Utilize tools and equipment such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, hoists, jacks, and welding gear while adhering to safety protocols.
• Diagnose malfunctions using devices like motor analyzers, chassis charts, and handheld computers.
• Test drive vehicles to identify issues and confirm successful repairs.
• Replace and repair parts such as bearings, gears, valves, and cooling/heating system components.
• Measure and monitor vehicle emissions to ensure compliance with standards.
• Inspect and verify part specifications to ensure alignment with factory standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in awkward or confined spaces

• Technical certification or degree in automotive or diesel mechanics
• Experience using diagnostic computers
• Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
