Description
This role includes greeting customers and offering exceptional customer service as per company standards. The incumbent answers any inquiries customers may have and helps them with their shopping needs. In any situation where the customer is not happy, the cashier acts as the liaison between customer and the pharmacist/senior pharmacist. The cashier at the dispensary also notifies the customer of any sales or promotions going on in the store. To perform other duties that supports the effective and efficient operations of the Dispensary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures friendly and efficient check out services by receiving desired merchandise from customers; totaling bills; accepting payment; providing accurate change where required; packing products and handing them to customers.
- Balances and reconciles cash drawer at end of shift.
- Complete general office and clerical work
- Ensure the appearance of the dispensary/store meets the requirements of the corporate office and is favorable to the customer, including all housekeeping tasks.
- Stock store shelves with merchandise when it is delivered to the store.
- Build displays of merchandise.
- Complete inventory counts.
- Put up signs that will identify items on sale in weekly or monthly advertisements and take down the signage when such sale is over.
- Assist with changes and price markdowns for merchandise on the shelves.
- Answer phone and assist customer with queries
- Provides excellent customer service.
- Participate in team feedback meetings
- Performs any other duties as required by the Company.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Five (5) O’ level passes including Mathematics, English and/or Chemistry/Biology
- 1- 2 years previous retail Pharmacy and customer service experience
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 1-2 years’ experience in the retail pharmacy industry with a proven track record of accomplishments.
SKILLSET REQUIRED
- Computer Literacy
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
