JOB SUMMARY 

Reporting to the President, the Assistant Vice President - Human Resources & Administration is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance and oversight of the Company's Human Resources, HSSE, ICT, Corporate Communications and Administrative functions. The incumbent develops and implements strategies and initiatives that enhance organisational performance, ensure compliance and promote effective risk management and support the achievement of the Company's strategic objectives, while serving as a key advisor to Executive Management and the Board on corporate services matters. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Company's Human Resources, HSSE, ICT, Corporate Communications and Administrative functions.
  2. Develop and implement corporate services strategies, policies and initiatives that support the achievement of organisational objectives.
  3. Serve as a strategic advisor to the President, Executive Management and Board on human capital, governance, risk management and organisational effectiveness matters.
  4. Lead workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, organisational development and employeee engagement initiatives.
  5. Lead employee and industrial relations strategies, including the management of grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations and dispute resolution.
  6. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, corporate governance and policy requirements across the portfolio.
  7. Provide executive oversight of HSSE programmes, ensuring a safe, secure and compliant work environment.
  8. Lead ICT governance, digital transformation, cybersecurity, information management and business continuity initiatives.
  9. Oversee corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, administrative services and facilities management to support operational excellence and corporate reputation.
  10. Drive organisational performance, continuous improvement, risk mitigation and service delivery excellence across all corporate services functions.
  11. Perform duties in accordance with applicable health, safety, security, environmental and Company policies and procedures.
  12. Perform any other related duties as required by the job function.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management Studies, or a related discipline from a recognised university.
  2. Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Law or a related discipline from a recognised university. 
  3. Professional training in Labour Relations, Employment Law, Occupational Safety and Health, Change Management, KPI Development, Corporate Governance.
  4. Minimum of twelve (12) years' combined progressive management experience in Human Resources, Corporate Services, Industrial Relations and HSSE.
  5. Minimum of eight (8) years at a senior management level.
  6. Proven experience in a large organisation, statutory authority, state enterprise, or similar institution.
  7. Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing organisational change initiatives.
  8. Experience in governance, risk management, compliance and strategic planning.

  6. Technology and Digital Governance: capable of overseeing ICT governance, cybersecurity, information systems and technology-enabled business improvements.
  7. Stakeholder Management and Communication: ability to build productive relationships, influence stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels.
  8. Leadership and People Management: ability to lead, develop, motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams while fostering accountability and high performance.
