POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE 
The Logistics Inventory Co Ordinator reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for the coordination and management of logistics and Inventory activities within the Company. The main objective of the position is to ensure effective movement of goods and services.  This would be done through the establishment of key supplier agreements, identification of new opportunities and actively seeking and applying ways to improve efficiencies whilst ensuring compliance.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 

  • Coordinates with Head Office requests for inventory which is out of stock or at low levels to maintain adequate levels of inventory for distribution within Cinnaworld’s network of branches. 
  • Transfers data from working documentation to Cinnaworld’s inventory systems 
  • Assists with selecting products, equipment from inventory 
  • Leads inventory control practices 
  • Receives, reviews, and expedites requisitions from all branches 
  • Communication with Procurement staff, project teams, internal departments, vendors 
  • Generates monthly reports 
  • Promotes a strong safety culture including monitoring of support staff for compliance with the Ministry of Health guidelines and acquisition of food badges 
  • Manage drivers/loaders and support staff to maximize efficiency 
  • Coordinate with the network of branches and Head Office to ensure proper supply and demand of inventory is maintained. 
  • Creation and maintenance of detailed Company inventory database; 
  • Creation of systematic methods for handling and tracking of inventory; 
  • Monitoring of branch inventory turnover to ensure that branches have necessary products/small wares; 
  • Arranging, coordinating and overseeing of weekly and monthly physical inventory checks; 
  • Receiving incoming shipments and verification of goods at warehouse facility.  
  • Assist in training new employees in all relevant areas.  
  • Create, document and/or maintain SOP for area of  Logistics / inventory  
  • Perform any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • At least five (5) years experience in a similar position in food service and/or retail environment; 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Management, Customer Service, Entrepreneurship and innovation or Marketing. 
  • 2 years experience in a warehouse, inventory control, shipping/receiving environment 
  • CSEC ‘O’ level certificate or equivalent
