A leading company in East Trinidad is seeking a qualified and experienced Vehicle Refrigeration Technician to support its maintenance and operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of refrigeration units critical to the company’s daily operations. The technician will be expected to troubleshoot issues, perform both corrective and preventative maintenance, and collaborate with other departments to support overall system performance. This position requires a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Refrigeration Systems: Expertise in diagnosing and repairing refrigeration systems, including components such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, and expansion valves.

2. Electrical Systems: Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electrical components within refrigeration units, including interpreting wiring diagrams and working with control systems.

3. Mechanical Systems: Working knowledge of diesel engines and other mechanical systems related to refrigeration units.

4. Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and prevent future issues.

5. Refrigeration Brands Experience: Experience working with vehicle refrigeration unit brands, specifically Thermal Master and Thermo King systems.

6. Repair Skills: Replacing faulty parts, soldering refrigerant lines, and performing other necessary repairs, with experience working on systems using 404A and 134A refrigerants.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Diploma/Certificates in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

2. Or at least 5 Years work experience in a similar field.
