Description
The Licensing Associate is responsible for the day-to-day collection of data and processing of applications received by the Licensing Division within the Commission. The incumbent will review assigned applications and ensure that the licensing procedures are adhered to, in accordance with legal and regulatory standards. The License Associate will ensure the completeness of each application and provide day-to-day updates on outstanding information.
Key Responsibilities
Operational
- Ensure that all licence submissions are reviewed, actioned and forwarded to Senior Licence Officer within 24 hours.
- Call/ contact prospective licensee if there are any information missing. Ensure all communication received are properly documented and forwarded to the respective personnel.
- Receive, record, sort and route incoming and outgoing correspondence and other documents related to the Licensing Department within 48 hours.
- Responsible for ensuring all incoming records are saved (scanned and e-filed) and utilising the approved Licence department databases.
- Compose and issue routine correspondence; also prepares drafts of more complex correspondence.
- Orders, issues, and maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
Reporting
- Compile weekly reports on licensing statistics received and transferred to the Senior Licensing Officer.
- Providing updates and recommendations on gambling (Gaming and Betting) standards to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Associate Degree in Business Management, Finance or related field
- Association of Business Executives Diploma (ABE) Level 4 or higher or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- A minimum of two (2) years in the field of Customer Relations
- Experience in a Regulatory environment will be an asset
