JOB PURPOSE
The AVP Investor Relations will be responsible for managing and strategically enhancing the company's relationships with the investment community, including shareholders, analysts, and potential investors. This individual will play a critical role in communicating the company’s vision, performance, and growth strategy, particularly focusing on our disciplined allocation of capital to deliver on the Group’s 2030 strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique aspects of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange (TTSE) and the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) investment landscape with experience in managing investor relations in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Investor and Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop a multi-stakeholder engagement strategy based on different investor categories (Institutional, Retail, High Net Worth, Broker, Analysts etc).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with various investor categories and other key stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries from the investment community and provide timely, accurate information.
- Develop an investor communication media strategy (traditional media vs. social media).
- Develop a storyline that accurately conveys the company's financial performance, strategic direction, and value proposition to the investment community (each category).
- Coordinate the development and execution of communication strategies in response to any crises or significant changes affecting investor confidence.
- Collaborate with the CFO, Portfolio and Finance Lines of Business' leadership, including finance teams, to support quarterly and annual financial reports, earnings releases, and investor presentations.
- Coordinate the investor story and presentation for any mergers, acquisitions and divestitures (M,A&D) and articulate the impact of recent and future acquisitions on the company’s financial performance and growth trajectory to investors.
- Work with the Corporate Secretarial function, ensure all communications comply with relevant regulatory requirements and maintain transparency and integrity in all investor relations activities.
- Monitor market trends, investor sentiment, and competitive positioning. Provide insights and recommendations to the CFO and executive team to inform strategic decision-making.
- Organize and lead the coordination of investor events, including earnings calls, investor days, and roadshows, to effectively communicate the Company’s progress and future growth plans.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong understanding of financial statements, capital markets, and the dynamics of investor relations. Ability to analyze and communicate complex financial information effectively.
- Deep understanding of financial reporting, metrics, and capital markets.
- Understanding of financial regulatory requirements and compliance, particularly regarding stock exchanges and reporting standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field;
- MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience related to investor relations, finance, or a related field, with experience in a publicly listed company being a strong asset.
- Experience in managing investor relations in a high-growth, acquisition-focused environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior executives, finance, legal, and communications teams to develop cohesive investor strategies.
