JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager will oversee and lead the activities of the Sales Department. To develop, recommend and coordinate effective sales strategies, systems, procedures and programs. Direct control and assist in integrating the activities of the Operating units, i.e. Sales,Customer Service, reservations andOperations areas in Trinidad  & Tobago

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:
  • Manages the Sales team in Trinidad and Tobago to ensure the achievement of marketing and sales objectives.
  • Coordinates and controls the activities of the Sales department Port of Spain by working with the Customer Service and Operations Department to meet set goals.
  • Assists in the reservations activities in the Sales office to ensure the provision of desired levels of Customer Serviceconsistent with employee performance standards.
  • Establishes cargo sales targets on an annual basis and monitors the operations of the sales team to ensure the achievement of the Sales objectives.
  • Prepares draft annual budget proposals for the sales department POS and administers same.
  • Monitors market changes and communicates information about competitive services, products and pricing to the Station Manager and the Marketing Director.
  • Represent the Company atindustry trade shows andconferences.
  • Maintain complete records regarding customer information, including call reports accurately and timely.
  • Keeps mailing list current and accurate so that customers can be kept informed of ACE products, services, rates, pertinent policies and operational changes and communicates any changes to customers on a timely basis.
  • Ensures timely and accurate coordination of sales information between all departments. Recommends strategies toassist in achieving sales targets
  • Assist sales personnel withdevelopment of business presentations.
  • Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with third party vendors to perform logistics services such as local pickup, delivery and documentation services not performed by the Company.
  • Prepares and submits daily sales information and details regarding actual vs. booked tonnages.
  • Provides quotations to customers for import and Export shipments based on information provided and by applying current company policies/rates.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:
  • This position requires a BSc in Sales and Marketing or BA Business Management or a related discipline.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish – will be an asset.
  • Previous sales experience required.
  • Requires the ability to perform routine business mathematical functions and calculations

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • At least two years of experience at a Sales Management level.
  • Experience in the Air freight Industry is a plus.
  • Strong track record of developing and leading successful sales strategies and programs.
  • Knowledge of local Customs and Excise airfreight requirements for import and export shipments.

SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
  • The ability to speak and communicate professionally with internal and external contacts.
  • Possesses professional written communication skills for the purpose of easily and succinctly expressing results and findings.
  • Possesses the ability to plan, coordinate and implement tasks involving new or constantly changing problems or situations. This involves the origination of new technologies or policies for programs or projects.
  • Strong computer aptitude with knowledge in Word, Excel, and Outlook

TRAVEL
  • The Sales Manager should be able to travel within Trinidad & Tobago to visit existing customers; meet potential new customers and to verify the conditions and environment of existing and potential business opportunities.
  • This position requires overseas travel from time to time.
