Description
The Director of Finance will ensure that financial practices comply with regulatory standards and industry norms, while also supporting the organization's overall strategic goals. Working closely with different departments will be essential for upholding a unified approach to budget management, cost control, and financial processes. This role will also involve providing the Board with timely management accounts, cash flow statements, statutory reports, and monthly financial commentary.
Principal Responsibilities
- Create and enforce financial policies and procedures that promote efficient financial operations.
- Guide and mentor the finance team, nurturing a culture of ongoing improvement and professional growth. You will also oversee recruitment and training within the department.
- Craft and oversee annual budgets, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals.
- Deliver comprehensive financial reports and analyses to the board, including budgets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Partner with department heads to meet targets, ensuring that services are delivered within or below budget.
- Identify and address financial risks, implementing suitable internal controls and measures.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of the resort’s five-year strategic plan by offering financial insights and ensuring that resource allocations align with organizational objectives.
Requirements
- ACCA Qualified
- Over fifteen (15) years working experience in a similar capacity
- Demonstrated success in establishing financial control procedures in the hotel sector.
- Skilled in creating and executing financial strategies and policies.
- Background in risk management and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Possesses a forward-thinking mindset and strategic insight, with the capability to drive long-term growth and innovation.
