REPOTING LINE – Accounts Manager
Location: Port of Spain
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting with the assigned portfolios of the organization, annual financial statements, monthly management reports and supporting accounting records as well as the IFRS 17 General Measurement Model (GMM) portfolio and supporting accounting records for all territories.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares IFRS 17 GMM manual files for all SLI entities.
- Assists with GMM testing required for Risk Integrity upgrades.
- Prepares monthly schedules, journals and reconciliations for the organization.
- Assist with schedules to support the quarterly reporting package for the assigned portfolio.
- Assists with preparing audit related schedules for IFRS 17 GMM queries.
- Performs any other related duties and handles special projects as may be requested by management.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Education/ Experience:
- Level 1 ACCA or equivalent accounting designation
- Literacy and proficiency in the use of various types of accounting and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Must possess knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
- A high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- The ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-oriented environment
