Job Title: Courier for Optical Company

Location: Multiple Branches with pickup/drop off of company vehicle in Woodbrook.

Job Type: Part-Time (7am – 1pm)

Job Description:
We are looking for a professional and reliable Courier to join our team at the Company, a reputable optical company with six branches nationwide. This role involves transporting optical products, equipment, and supplies between our branches while maintaining a high standard of customer service. The ideal candidate will be at least 30 years old, with a minimum of 10 years of driving experience and a clean driving record. You should be punctual, dependable, and have excellent interpersonal skills to ensure smooth deliveries and positive interactions with our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery and Transport: Safely and efficiently deliver optical products, eyewear, and medical equipment between the company’s six branches, ensuring timely arrivals and adherence to schedules.
• Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to traffic laws and company safety protocols.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to internal staff at each branch by maintaining a friendly, approachable attitude and resolving any queries or concerns during deliveries.
• Vehicle Safety and Upkeep: Ensure that the company vehicle is maintained in good condition by conducting regular checks, including tire pressure, oil levels, and cleanliness. Report any issues or needed repairs to the Operations Manager.
• Inventory and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, ensuring that inventory is tracked correctly and all paperwork is signed upon delivery.
• Product Handling: Safely handle and transport all products, ensuring that fragile optical equipment and eyewear are delivered in pristine condition.
• Communication: Stay in constant communication with the branch staff to inform them of any delays, issues, or special instructions related to deliveries.
• Professionalism: Represent the Company positively in all interactions, ensuring that the company’s values of reliability and service excellence are upheld.
• Compliance and Safety: Follow all company safety protocols, including maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to road safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Age: 30 years old.
• Driving Experience: At least 10 years of driving experience.
• Clean Driving Record: A valid driver’s license with no traffic violations or accidents in the last 5 years.
• 5 O’Levels including Mathematics and English.
• Proven experience in a delivery or courier role, preferably within a healthcare or retail setting.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple deliveries in a timely manner.
• Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail in tracking deliveries and inventory.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
