Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Manager at The Company located in Arima. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, improving operational efficiency, managing human resources, developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Operations Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and achieve operational goals. This role is genuinely Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, however, there will be times when the candidate is expected to work outside of these hours. i.e , if something runs late, or there is a major malfunction which would need to be addressed on a Saturday for example.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management or related roles
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Well Organized
- Knowledge of Odoo software would be an asset
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing strategies to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the factory.
- Reviewing processes to ensure that quality control standards are adhered to.
- Routinely inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
- Managing the factory personnel, including planning, coordinating and supplementing shift rosters.
- Ensure factory personnel are operating effectively & efficiently in there duties
- Ensuring that factory equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.
- Management of spare parts & inventory of raw materials
- Responsible for ordering & sourcing of parts
- Ordering of raw materials
- Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
- Preparing/Reviewing production and other related reports for review by Management.
- Ensuring compliance with required HSE practices and promptly report all accidents and incidents.
- Monitoring and scheduling raw material purchases
- Monitoring and ensuring adequate spares are available for machinery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Ensure a cleanly & organizing work environment hours
- Management of tools
Requirements:
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience being responsible for the daily operations in a manufacturing or process operation.
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field will be an asset.
- Must have experience with a manufacturing plant operation.
- Strong understanding of process flow manufacturing.
- Experience with and/or understanding of the properties of concrete manufacturing, would be and asset
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic systems, electrics and mechanical components of manufacturing equipment, would be and asset
- Knowledge of HSE protocol in a manufacturing industry, including incident reporting protocols.
- Knowledge of the construction industry would be and asset
- Knowledge of Auto CAD
- Knowledge of PLC systems would be and asset
