Description
Job Title: Maintenance Planner
Department: Operations
Section: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Purpose:
To ensure overall compliance in the manufacturing of sensitive and CSD products.
To ensure all ISO requirements are consistently implemented and maintained throughout the plant.
Key Result Areas:
- Responsible for the complete maintenance management program software (MP2 or designated)
- Implement and lead the predictive/condition-based maintenance program
- Maintain all manuals, documents and records for all plant electrical equipment
- Maintain all manuals, documents and records for plant mechanical equipment
- Provide records for all PM, CM, conditional maintenance.
- Ensure that all mechanical safety and food safety policies are up to date and followed as per standards
- Carry out safety and food safety checks
- Analyze data to determine mechanical efficiency of all production lines
- Analyze data and provide reports and recommendations for operational improvement
- Coordinate, schedule and plan all mechanical and electrical related actions in plant
- Perform assignments independently with instruction as to the general results expected and with guidance from department manager on specific problems.
- Develop budgets for planned maintenance activities.
- Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
- Conduct Tasks outlined by the maintenance manager for plant improvement.
- Conduct maintenance meeting to discuss and plan upcoming tasks and departmental objectives
- Liaise with other department for planning and scheduling activities
- Maintain and upkeep the maintenance master plan (tasks, labour and cost)
- Provide reports on the following:
- Departmental KPIs (once per month) up to six KPIs
- Line downtime for all lines (once per day for production planning meeting)
- Mechanical efficiency (once per week)
- Maintenance Budget for planned activities (once per year with revision once per quarter)
- Maintenance meeting minutes (once per week)
- Special assigned project reports (as assigned)
- Out of compliance report for tasks, labour and equipment (once per month)
- Any other reports deem necessary for improvements in the department.
- Be part of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) team as required.
- Maintain Plant Hygiene, Sanitation, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) Programs.
- Lead and defend ISO/KO audits for Technical and Maintenance Team.
- Maintain policies and procedures for the department current.
- Maintain loss time records for the department
- Conduct training sessions on improvement projects
- Conduct regular training session with OEMs for the department members
- Maintain training records for the department personnel
- Conduct Internal Audits as required by KORE and ISO standards.
- Be up to date and train maintenance personnel on HACCP, ISO, PAS 220, KORE and GMP requirements.
- Ensures all relevant systems & programs are in compliance with ISO requirements
Knowledge & Experience:-
- Experience in mechanical plant maintenance Technology.
- Experience in a mechanical Engineering and Maintenance
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in a related field / industry.
- Ability use AutoCAD or drawing utility
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft office and other reporting software
- Ability to use and manage computerized maintenance programs
- Knowledge of Trinidad and Tobago safety codes
- Understanding of ISO Standards and implementation of a management system to achieve operational controls
- Knowledge of procedures that address compliance with applicable regulatory and KORE requirements
Work Environment and physical demands:
- Job will generally be in an office environment but will require travel to visit customer or supplier facility or construction job site. Work condition will vary at each location
- May be assigned to work at another construction site or facility for a short period of time.
- Long hours may be necessary as workload dictate. This will include week days, weekends and public holidays
- Must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
