Description
Job Specification:
As an HSE Officer your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement the project specific HSE, SOP and ERP documentation at the project sites. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and Client Representatives to meet all statutory and client specific HSE requirements and documentation during the entire EPC phase of project.
Job Responsibilities:
- To develop project specific project specific HSE, SOP and ERP documentation and have it reviewed/approved by the client’s representative.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records, including incident reports, inspection findings, training records, and permits.
- Prepare regular HSE reports and communicate findings to project teams, management, and stakeholders.
- Conduct incident investigations, prepare incident reports, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
- Identify potential hazards and assess risks associated with construction activities, equipment, and processes.
- Collaborate with project teams and contractors to develop and implement risk management plans.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) and assist in the development of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for high-risk activities.
- Provide guidance on the selection and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to project personnel, contractors, and workers.
- Conduct emergency drills and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of emergency response measures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupation Health and Safety
- Proven experience as an HSE Officer or similar role in the construction industry, preferably within WASA/IDB/CDB funded projects.
