Description
Summary of Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the movement, storage and usage of all inventories (raw materials, packaging & finished goods).
Duties & Responsibilities
- To measure, weigh and decant raw materials as per approved batch sheets within no less than 24 hours after receipt of Batch Sheets Production schedule. All containers must be weighed/measured, and measurements recorded via BIN cards, before and after decanting materials. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately.
- To prevent inventory expiration by utilizing FIFO and stock rotation principles. Report weekly on any goods due to expire within 6 months.
- To accurately record any spillage or wastage of raw materials immediately to WIP Manager and HSSE Officer, during the course of performing duties.
- To accurately record any extra usage of raw materials by Production.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform WIP Manager and Purchasing Officer to ensure continued adequacy to fulfill existing and future orders.
- Update all BIN cards with the relevant stock movements in real time.
- To carry out the weekly cycle counts on selected raw materials per schedule or as directed by WIP Manager.
- To dispatch all WIP finished goods tankettes/drums to filling line for decanting. All WIP tankettes are weighed before and after each use and any variances reported immediately and investigated.
- Monitor WIP finished goods levels and inform WIP Manager and Production Manager to ensure continued adequacy to fulfill existing and future orders.
- To conduct weekly stock counts and associated investigations and reconciliations at year-end or any other interval as deemed necessary.
- To receive and record inventory on BIN Cards and store all raw materials in compliance with all applicable HSE policies, QC standards and FIFO principles.
- To assist in the loading and offloading of trucks and shipping containers, both inbound and outbound.
- To ensure proper housekeeping of the warehouse areas.
- To operate forklifts and all other equipment in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all HSSE and OSHA standards.
- To adhere to all HSE guidelines and policies.
- To function as a secondary driver in the event extra deliveries or receipt of goods are required.
- Any other Duties/Tasks as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification.
- Valid Class 3 & 4 Driver’s License without any demerit points.
- Certification in Warehousing and Inventory Management would be an asset.
- Attention to details and accuracy.
- A good team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within strict timelines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
