JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources (HR) Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. These include the functional areas such as Recruitment & Selection, Compensation and Benefits Management, Performance Management, Training and Development and Employee Relations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Talent Acquisition: Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent and ensure alignment and fit with the company’s objectives and culture and that onboarded employees are equipped for success
- Compensation and Benefits: Design, oversee and manage the employee compensation and benefits structure (including salaries, bonuses, and benefits) and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives
- Performance Management: Manage a robust performance management and review process, supporting the development of clear KPIs, and guiding supervisors and leaders to foster accountability, productivity and efficiency
- Training and Development: Design, implement and oversee training and development strategies aimed at impactful succession planning, career development and skills enhancement to ensure organizational and employee growth and continuity
- Policies Management and Compliance: Conduct the research, formulation, development, implementation and monitoring of Human Resources policies, procedures, programmes, and initiatives to ensure adherence to labour laws, industry standards and good industrial relations best practice
- Employee Relations: Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures by providing prompt, fair and confidential advice/guidance/resolutions to Line Management and Staff to maintain trust and satisfaction
- Employee Engagement: Design, lead and implement targeted innovative programs to boost employee engagement, satisfaction and retention
- HR Analytics and Reporting: Create detailed HR reports through the analysis of workforce data to identify trends, address gaps, recommend improvements and provide actionable insights to inform strategic decision making and align with business objectives
- Mentorship and Development: Lead, mentor, manage and develop a skilled Human Resources team capable of supporting current and future business demands
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Social Sciences or a related field
- Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration would be considered an asset
- Minimum of six (6) to ten (10) years’ progressive HR generalist experience, with at least (4) four years at a management level in a similar position, preferably within the financial services sector
- SHRM certification would be considered an asset
- Any relevant and/or equivalent combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), education and experience would be considered
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge, understanding and experience as a generalist in all HR functional areas, inclusive of but not limited to Recruitment and Selection, Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, Performance Management and Employee Relations
- Proven knowledge and experience with the entire Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with multiple human resource information systems (HRIS) and/or payroll systems
- Demonstrated knowledge and experienced with accurate application of employment related laws and regulations, including National Insurance (NIS) benefits and tax regulations
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
- High level of ethical standards, confidentiality and integrity, with the ability to establish credibility
- Strong critical, analytical and reasoning ability coupled with decisiveness and efficiency
- Ability to work effectively with multi-faceted teams and multiple stakeholders
- Accountable for results, proactive, intuitive, deadline and results driven
- Excellent interpersonal skills; communication, collaboration, conflict resolution and customer service
