Job Description:
The Manager of a Geriatric Care Home oversees daily operations and ensures the delivery of high-quality care to elderly residents. This role involves managing staff, coordinating resident care, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and support a team of care staff, including nurses, caregivers, and administrative personnel.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement staff training and professional development programs.
- Ensure the delivery of personalized and compassionate care to all residents.
- Oversee care plans and coordinate with healthcare professionals to address medical and personal needs.
- Address resident and family concerns promptly and effectively.
- Manage the care home’s budget, including expenses related to staffing, supplies, and maintenance.
- Ensure the care home meets all health and safety regulations and standards.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal regulations related to geriatric care and ensure the care home adheres to these standards.
- Prepare for and manage inspections and audits.
- Monitor and evaluate care quality and resident satisfaction.
- Implement improvement plans based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and community organizations.
- Represent the care home at community events and professional meetings.
- Oversee the management of resident records and documentation.
- Coordinate with external agencies and healthcare providers as needed.
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Ensure staff are trained in emergency procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a geriatric or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in elderly care.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
This role is crucial for ensuring the well-being and quality of life of our residents while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment for staff.

Our starting salary offer is $12,500 , with interval room for increase.
