Description
The ICT Support Clerk ensures that all the electrical tools and hardware equipment work properly.
Scope:
- The ICT Technician reports hierarchically to the Operations Manager, or if that position is not filled, the Chief Executive Officer.
- Maintenance to avoid future problems
- Timely repairs
- Installation and staying up-to-date in regards to software applications
- Performing basic network maintenance activities
Qualifications & Competence profile:
- Solid knowledge and affinity with the computer;
- Solid knowledge of MS Office;
- Solid knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Result oriented and stress tolerant;
- High level of integrity and work ethics;
- Accurate, organized and structured;
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English.

Job requirements and qualifications:
- High school diploma (or comparable degree)
- ICT-related certificates (preferred)
Internal and external contacts:
- Interacts with all ForenSys Trinidad employees to ensure the company’s ICT infrastructure is functioning optimally 24/7
- Interacts with ForenSys Caribbean – Technical Support Department to ensure the ForenSys Software is functioning optimally for the Trinidad Operations
- Interacts with third party providers to solve any problems or to prevent any problems
- Interacts with third party providers on technical matters relating to improved solutions and offers
Duties & Responsibilities
- To perform maintenance and repair activities on electronic tools in the Office and all Vehicles such as:
- Computers and peripherals
- Tablets
- Wireless routers
- Telephones
- Radio Communication systems
- Printers
- Including but not limited to all hardware related equipment of the Operations in General
- To install and update software and apps on:
- Desktop computers and notebooks
- Tablets
- Related to any ForenSys Software, this has to be done in conjunction with ForenSys Caribbean – Support Department
- Responsible for performing network maintenance activities by:
- Ensuring the in-office computer network is operational and functioning properly
- Maintaining and enforcing the established security protocols for the in-office computer network
- Effectively anticipating future needs and development of the network, planning accordingly
- Ensuring all backups and/or recordings are optimally working and up to date at all times
- Responsible for any other related duties that may be considered in the development or execution of this position and its functions.
- Is responsible for own professional development needs:
- Identifies own professional development needs, in consultation with the Operations Manager
- Develops a personal development plan (PDP) which aims to achieve a process of constant improvement and professionalization on the most critical areas.
- Timely response when notified of ICT support requests.
- Timeliness in resolving ICT support requests and ICT-related problems.
- Success in avoiding network security breaches and/or issues.
- Constant improvement and professionalization.
- Ensuring that Business systems are always operational and switch overs are seamless ensuring efficient operations at all times.
- Maintaining constant system redundancy at all times
