Description
The Project Controller is responsible for the financial oversight and management of projects within the organization. This role involves planning, monitoring, and controlling project costs to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Controller works closely with project managers, financial analysts, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely financial information, forecasts, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project budgets in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Monitor project expenditures and identify variances from the budget.
- Prepare financial performances and forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects in MIS.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify potential financial risks and opportunities on the basis of MIS.
- Knowledge of percentage completion revenue recognition as applicable in EPC or construction company.
- Preparation of project-related invoices and purchase orders.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Work closely with project managers, financial analysts, and other team members to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.
- Contract Agreement (CA) understanding and monitoring of contract obligations and rights as per CA.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Controller, Financial Analyst, or in a similar role preferably in an EPC company or construction.
- Experience in project accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis
Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
