Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Field Sales Representative forges relationships with new and existing construction/ project-based customers, and meets customers’ needs through solutions offered by the Company. Work is done remotely and on plant under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, as part of the overall sales team; generally, however, the position is based at our Head Office at Sealots, Port of Spain.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Generate new business opportunities and grow existing client relationships.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to establish and achieve SMART sales targets
- Make use of approved communication channels to respond to sales inquiries and otherwise maintain reliable contact with customers
- Provide reliable product-related advice to customers
- Deploy effective customer care tactics to ensure a positive customer interaction from initial contact to post-sales aftercare
- Maintain and submit records and reports of sales activities on a weekly basis
- Monitor and report on market conditions
- Perform all work (both on plant and remotely) in a safe manner in compliance with OSH requirements and Company policy
- Any other duties that are assigned by management as per job function
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES INCLUDE
- 5 Ordinary Level Passes, including English A and a numeric subject
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales;
- Deep knowledge of the hardware sales industry and construction sector
- Good physical health;
- A certificate of good character from the TTPS;
- A friendly and approachable demeanour when interacting with all stakeholders;
- Integrity and fidelity in your dealings with the customers and the company;
- A Class 3 Drivers’ license, and ownership/ authorization to use a well-maintained private vehicle
