Description

• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and dealership-specific standards.
• Account Management: Supervise and manage the dealership’s accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable. Provide guidance and support to accounting staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance against budget and provide insights and recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and dealership-specific financial requirements. Prepare and file tax returns and manage relationships with regulatory agencies.
• Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis to support decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and variance analysis. Provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures. Leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the accounting for vehicle inventory, including valuation, tracking, and reconciliation. Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions and compliance with dealership policies.
• Training and Development: Train and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of professional development and continuous improvement within the team.

• Education: ACCA qualified or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within a retail environment or similar industry.
