Description
The incumbent is responsible for sourcing, developing and introducing new and unique product ranges alongside Category Teams that align to the customer profiles of SuperPharm and Presto. The incumbent reports directly to the Category Manager and develops and executes new product launches for all Category Management Departments.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Collaborates with the Marketing Department and Category Management team in identifying and forecasting consumer trends with an aim of sourcing the right products to give the company a competitive advantage.
- Sources and builds relationships with new suppliers
- Pitches proposals for the introduction of new and unique products to Marketing and Category Management Teams.
- Identifies, selects and purchases new and unique products for seasonal and value campaigns with aim to achieve campaign sales and customer satisfaction targets.
- Evaluates supplier products according to price, quality etc to determine best choice to maximize profitability and achievement of sales targets.
- Assists planogram analyst with planning store layouts, seasonal layouts and creating planograms to promote key lines
- Works with Marketing and Category Teams to create new product launch plans
- Create reports and dashboards on sales, budgets and product acceptance / customer satisfaction and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Attend national and international trade shows, fairs and exhibitions to keep up to date with consumer and market trends.
- Performs any other duties as assigned to assist in meeting the Company’s objectives.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc. Business Management, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in Retail sector, Trade Marketing, Business analytics FMCG, Category Management and/or Brand Management.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft office products.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (LS Retail) or any other similar ERP’s would be an asset.
